
Some people naturally have beautiful handwriting, but calligraphy takes skill, patience, perfect consistency and spacing. Above is work from Laura Hooper Calligraphy. Wedding invitations are traditionally hand addressed. Place cards and table numbers also traditionally are done by hand. Due to the fact that each name and address is unique, letterpress printing, is not a good choice for such things. Below for a more modern look is work by Nancy Rust in Seattle. I might have pretty handwriting for 10 or 20 envelopes, but by 145 nothing would look very pretty.
