Today destination weddings are becoming very popular. This is often because a wedding coordinator on- site does most of the work for you. In addition, the farther away the event is, the fewer number of guests actually come bringing down the total cost of the event. (Horrible to say, but true. Sometimes you just don't want 300 people there!)

One great destination for weddings is Napa Valley California, an hour north of San Francisco. I was luckily enough to live in Napa for a couple years while in college. The Valley is beautiful, romantic and made for outdoor weddings. It has many open spaces, great weather, lots of spas, amazing food, and of course wine. Here are just few of my many favorites venues:Villagio Inn and Spa in Yountville, just North of Napa. V.Sattui- a beautiful winery in St. Helena. They are across the street from the only Dean & Deluca west of the Mississippi! Just outside St. Helena (my favorite town in Napa Valley) is the famous Meadowood. Meadowood tucked into the rolling hills. They ofter cottages and suites, along with acres of lawn and vineyards. Any of these places would be beautiful spots to say "I do" in.
