As promised here are some pictures from our trip last week. I still have a blister on the bottom of my right foot from all the walking I did, but it was so worth it! The more you walk, the more you get to eat!

This little corner may not look like much, but I walked 2 miles to this little corner bakery voted the best in the city!
Tartine, has amazing french pastries, cookies, cakes and sandwiches! I've heard endless rave reviews of their bread pudding and famous croque monsieur (an open faced sandwich). A few of my favorites to add are their eclairs, lemon cream tart, pain au chocolate and quiche.

Here is my
Tartine eclair I hiked back to the hotel for Troy to try. I went to Tartine on a weekday and there wasn't much of a crowd, but I hear on weekends, the line goes out the door!

The famous Powell St. cable car turning around in front of the Gap. Our hotel was just across the street.

More window shopping. This is
Candy Store, 2 blocks from Tartine Bakery in the Mission District.

Our
hotel accidentally gave us two beds, oops. I loved the down comforters.

View of Union Square from our hotel window. Thanks to Troy's work, I got to explore the city while he attended an Intel Conference.

Union Square from the street level. Lots and lots of shopping! The weather was perfect, sunny warm and not too breezy. Once the sun went down it got cool. Sadly,I had forgotten how many people smoke in the city:-( Don't get me started on lung cancer.

Troy playing computer nerd. You've never seen so many guys with laptops and glasses. They had computers everywhere! I made him take off his goofy badge when we went out at night!

We had dinner in Chinatown at
Hunan Home Restaurant. I had read rave reviews and I was not disappointed. Great food, service and very reasonable in price. I think it was even the owner that came out to ask us how we were doing. Reservations are recommended. I especially liked the wonton soup. We walked back through Chinatown, which was fun. Lots of great window displays. Made us wonder what Vietnam will be like. More to come....
Love the pics! So weird to see them - my husband and I go to those places all the time. We live in the "East Bay" - across the Bay Bridge and through the tunnel in Lafayette. Hope you enjoyed SF! I stumbled onto this blog a few weeks back. I got married a year ago, and love all things wedding. Still dreaming about my business starting up which would put me in the industry, too, so we'll see what happens! God bless!
