Vegas has more wedding per year than anywhere else in the US. Now they are not all cheesy drive- in chapels. There are all kinds of great packages to pamper you and your love. You can fly in and have everything done for you from spa treatments, flowers, food, dress etc. etc.

It may seem like a great deal, but costs add up for food and flowers. Unless it's a very small group of 20 people or less, it will be pricey if you don't want it to be cheesy. On the surface you'll get more bang for your buck in Vegas, but it can be a like flying on Southwest, you feel like just another number and you're being herded like cattle. For the convenience, you can have a cookie cutter wedding, from flowers to photos, but you're giving up creativity and uniqueness. Most Vegas photographers are shooting 3-4x as many weddings a year over their peers. It's not going to be the more unique photo session ever! There is high turn over and burn out.

Many of these big Vegas venues are under contract with other vendors, so you may not be able to bring in your own photographer etc. As far as decor, everything is bigger and brighter in Vegas and luxury casinos are decorated and maintained more than you can imagine. On a positive note, fresh flowers are everywhere and gardens and pools abound.

For ultimate luxury, check out the The Wynn. (There are reviews on project wedding). From transportation, to different wedding salons, amazing food, golf package for two with personal caddy for each, and two nights in a 2,490 sq. ft villa the Wynn has some amazing stuff.

If you want something unique, Mandalay Bay offers a Cabana Ceremony package (above) that takes place outdoors or at the Shark's Reef.

Other classy wedding venues to check out include
The Venetian , and The Belligio. Have a wonderful weekend!

Today is a day I wish life were simpler, less complicated, fewer variables. Sometimes I wish I could be 4 years old again, when I worried about was how long I got to play outside and how many bedtime stories I could talk my parents into reading to me. So many of the sweetest things in life are the simplest. Yet all my questions and doubt only lead to me closer to a faithful God.

Maybe because it's snowy and icy in many part of the country today, or because it's winter.. I just feel like some bright colors for today. This combination of hot pink and orange looks so tropical together. I hope it brings a smile to your face today:-) B

Your wedding venue can eat up a large part of your wedding budget. While hotel venues may be convenient, you give up flexibility in choosing your own vendors. You may also have a more restrictive schedule for set up, and/or risk increase fees for having a reception that runs too long.

If you're looking for more freedom, investing in re-landscaping a family/friends backyard may make more sense. You could have unlimited time setting up and tearing down. For the traditional cost to rent a ballroom, you could tent part of the yard, or splurge on catering. Here on the central coast it's become oh-so chic to get married on a lawn dotted with oak trees. Be creative and think outside the box!

Keep with the relaxed feel by using Mason or Ball canning jars to serve a signature drink, like this Peach Mojito above. (Canning jars can be found at your local grocery store or online. They can also double as a vase for flowers.)

This Friday in the middle of January, we take you to the island resort on Cocoa Island in the Maldives (Indian Ocean). If you're looking for a secluded, quiet honeymoon COMO Cocoa Island
Resort
gets stars all around. It's known for luxury accommodations set in paradise. It's a perfect place to relax, and rejuvenate after months of planning and preparing for a wedding. It's the ultimate getaway. The resort feature fine dining, non-motorized water sports, diving, sunset cruises and snorkeling. The clear turquoise waters hold some of the best diving in the world!

What you won't find here is crowds, noise or pollution. Think about empty white sand beaches and gorgeous sunsets.

One of my features is that each room includes a Lavazza Espresso maker, complimentary bottled water and fresh fruit daily! If you're going to splurge, you might as well go all out and enjoy a massage, facial, the pool and steam rooms. OK, I'm ready to pack my bag! Hurry, now through April is the most inexpensive time to go! Enjoy!

Last but least, for Mollie we put together colors of peach, yellow and dove grey for a beautiful garden wedding. Among my favorites are the grey bridesmaids dresses, and tablescape ideas. Hope this brings some sunshine to your week!
