What is it about girls and their shoes? You can never seem to have enough. Bridal shoes have come into their own, and honestly they can cost as much as the dress. For all you shoe-aholics.. this is for you:-)

I know, I'm a bad blogger. I'm alive and well, and chasing a crawler. Here are some beautiful French themed ideas! Happy sunshine on a Tuesday.

For all you girls who love pink, frill, and ballgown dresses, this is for you.

Sorry for my poor blogging! We had a home inspection yesterday, and lots of adoption fingerprinting and appointments as of late. Thanks for your patience!!

Thanks so much for all your product advice!! We celebrated Valentine's weekend by having a sleep over with Emma. (We decided last week to change her name to Emma.) I'm sure in years to come we'll celebrate by getting away from the kids for a weekend, but for know it was nice to have her around the house. I promise we will now to return to our regularly scheduled programing!

Thanks so much for all your love and care! It's a whirlwind of a time. Jumping into the baby world, we are trying to sort though what is essential and what's just hype? We are stuck trying to figure out what we need and what brands are recommended.

What are the top 10 items you found to be surprisingly wonderful?

What would you recommend for us with a 7-8 month old crawler?

This blurry picture is why.

A seven month old baby up for adoption that found us out. We've just been approved to adopt her.. it's been a surprising, whirlwind of a week.

More to come of course....

I'm gonna let it shine....

Lighting can be one of the easiest and least expensive ways to create great ambiance. Thing about items you want well lit, items you spend a lot of money on, your cake, centerpieces, and reception decor. Of course there are always lighting pros that can review your venue and recommend what to do.

If you're looking to save money, think about using paper lanterns, canning jars, Christmas lights (in white), LED lights or simple candles. Always ask your venue if they allow candles, since some locations have fire policies prohibiting it.
Hope you're inspired!

I love this moment caught by Stephanie Williams. Life goes by so quickly, I hope you enjoy the golden little moments of today. Life is so much more than just the destination. Enjoy!
With all traditional receptions, you'll want to have a Champagne or sparkling wine for toasting! (Many of you may not know that sparkling wine is the same thing as champagne, except that its not from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France). This will be the most expensive part of your wine budget, thus only serve it for the toasting. You should plan for 2 glasses of Champagne per guest, unless your wedding will be very long, or you know that there will be many formal toasts.

Prosecco also found favor among American brides, as more and more weddings began to serve Prosecco instead of champagne. Prosecco's growing popularity at weddings isn't hard to understand: Prosecco is lighter in body and easier to drink than the French bubbly, not to mention more affordable.

You can save money by having a signature drink, or having an open bar for only an hour or two. Of course, if you're able, by purchasing your alcohol directly at Costco or through a winery, you'll save a significant amount of cash.

Bold graphic patterns are so hot right now, from textiles, stationery, and interior design, to a wedding motif. Here are some of my favorites in green.
