Today I feel like sunny colors that are warm and cheerful. Happy Friday!

Here are a few pictures I took awhile ago. The lighting here isn't good, but we painted the walls a light green/ celery color a few years ago, the room has been an office until Emma came.

The desk I've had since I was about 8 years old.. and the closet isn't completed yet ie still needs doors and shelving. The girl has more clothes than I know what to do with!

I have so enjoyed reading Jessica's blog! She was married in March and her blog has been featuring every detail of the event. Check out this stunning wedding! I wouldn't be surprised to see this wedding in an upcoming magazine! Congrats to the beautiful new Mr. & Mrs!

Such a gorgeous bridal party!

Love the modern and simple white & green lounge area.. oh-so chic! White is definitely my new favorite color!

Isn't the venue breathtaking?? To read about about all the details of the wedding and see more amazing images, check out this Atlanta Bride's blog.. love it!

I love neutral hues, oatmeal, ivory, touches of gold, with a little carmel undertones.. I love them all. Here are a few of my favorites...

Here are a few of my favorite posts as of late. (I'm kinda a blog stalker I love to read them, but I'm very poor at leaving comments!) This list is far from complete.. I read a bunch of blogs, most of which are not wedding related.

Real Life: Lindsey does it all, craft business, 3 kids, party planner, packaging design etc. I love this recent post on real life. Oh-so true here. Most days of the week my house looks like a natural disaster has struck!

Event Design: For all kinds of parties, Courtney has tons of ideas. I really adored this recent post on this event, part of an April shower series with a round up of bridal and baby shower parties.. so chic and creative!

Baby Style: Jeannett has a lot of talents and interior design is one of them. I love this nursery theme she executed beautifully without breaking the bank!

Creative: Besides personalized, new jewelry designs, Lisa also has an amazing eye for photography. Her blog daily is creative inspiration.

Home Style: Erin has a great design eye, and a fresh take on traditional design. I loved her recent review of Better Home and Garden magazine, once thought to be a bit too plain and dull, now has some really cool looks... who knew?

Cool Idea: DIY blog only gets better and better. Their recent post on how to reuse security envelopes was amazing!! It makes me want to go through our recycling bin and make something!! love. it.

What blogs are you reading? Any favorite posts?

With all the warm weather we've been having this month, Emma is loving the pool! Of course a hat is a must with her fair skin. We're loving sunblock you spray on!

Here she is in a stylist two piece. I think the cherries and blue are so cute!

One of the biggest concerns/ stresses that I hear from brides, is dealing with crazy family dynamics. From the in-laws, step siblings, overbearing moms, that one crazy uncle to flaky bridesmaids, someone some where will always be upset about something. Sometimes the ones we love the most, drive us the most crazy. Are your divorced parents going to sit at the same table? Is your best friend already getting married in that same month? Who will walk you down the aisle? Are you going to invite kids? Who is going to pay for what?

Expectations run high and everyone has a different "vision" of what your wedding should look like. Chances are you and your mother in-law have very different tastes. Given the rapid changes and styles in weddings, what your parents did for their wedding, probably isn't chic today.

First of all remember this is your day, a once in a lifetime shot, so don't get talked into something you don't like. Secondly this will also be your family and friends you get to spend the holidays and your life with after the wedding, so don't burn too many bridges.

From guest lists, to table seating, wedding planning can be tough, if not exhausting. For over enthusiastic family members, delegate tasks to them where you have little preference what they choose or do. Be clear from the start what your goals and desires are. "Yes mom, a big, formal black tie reception sounds nice, but it doesn't really fit with our casual, outdoor, picnic themed wedding." Hang in there.. it isn't always easy, but if you and your love can weather the storms of wedding planning, you'll be ready to take on married life!

I sometimes surprise myself, like I never would have thought I'd say "my new favorite color is grey". I always thought of it as boring, and plain, like an un-color. Yet, I'm currently loving how pretty it is with soft hues of peach and pink.

Where do guests spend most of their time at weddings? Sitting at their table looking at the centerpieces/ tablescapes. Table decor has now become an art form, here are a few of my favorites. Think about colors, texture and height, aka so as guests can see people across the table from them.

For more great party and table decor ideas check out Lindsey's recent birthday post and Joyful Weddings series on baby and bridal showers. Be inspired!

Are they not the cutest?

Last weekend Melissa and Sarah threw Emma a sweet co-ed shower. We stayed with Steve and Meliss and these are some shots I took the morning after, with the girls playing with the loot.

Doesn't Kadence have beautiful eyes?
