Lately I've been researching jadeite on E-bay. I adore just about anything green and who can't love this vintage opaque, pale-green color! Thankfully you don't have to be a millionaire to start a little collection of you own! I'm thinking about collecting a few pieces, I don't have a lot of space to collect too much!
There is lots of Jadeite out there, the tableware was mass-produced from the 1920s until the early 1970's. Vintage pieces can be found by scouring thrift markets, antique stores and yard sales.

Jadeite was popular in diners in the 1950's because they were stain- and heat-resistant. Anchor Hocking had a commercial line of "Fire-King" which is everywhere. If you are looking for great authentic vintage finds, look for the manufactures McKee and Jeannette Glass Co. Turn the piece over and look for a “McK” in a small circle indicates McKee, and a “J” inside a triangle indicates Jeannette Glass Co. I love the little cream and sugar sets, along with the petite tea cup and saucers! What do you collect?

We are back from a long weekend in SoCal. While Troy went to a work conference, Emma and I window shopped around this mall. I was more than a little thrilled to find a cute shirt at Anthropologie on sale for $20! Of course we had to stop by Whole Foods and wander the aisles. Hope you had a great weekend!
