We just got back from a long vacation with my family for Thanksgiving.  Sadly right before we left, Emma came down with a nasty cold from pre-school.  Thankfully the kids did well in the car, even with an hour delay in Stockton due to traffic.
Once we got to my parents, of course I got sick too:-(  But of course being home, meant my parents and Sylvia could take care of the kids so I could sleep!  Troy still got to do lots of fun stuff, went fishing, looked for car parts, and got to mange the bonfire.  Emma loved playing with the dogs, picking fruit, roasting marshmallows and of course being the center of the world with grandma and grandpa!  By the time we were packing up to go home, Tessa was coughing!  Again the kids did awesome in the van, both of them slept the last 3 hours!!!  We are home again and back in cell service!!

Is this not every little girls dream?  This amazing idea is from Little Big Company.. check out all the details here... so amazing and cute!

It's always fun to work with photographers and it was our pleasure to letterpress print Ella's first birthday invitations for Meg Fish Photography!  I love Meg's organic, simple, stunning style!  The afternoon looked perfect!  Check out Meg's Crowned Embellishments here!

For the ways I make fun of my mom's 70's pictures in ruffles, I have to say I'm loving the delicate look of ruffled flowers, flowing fabrics and ranunculus!

Yummy creamy custard inspired today's post.  Cream puffs, custard, pale lemon and fluffy butter all make wonderful treats and a great color palette!  I love it together with aqua and bright white!

I have been meaning to link up with Lindsey for WIWW, mostly to share cute Tessa pictures!  She is now 2 1/2 mo old and a little over 14lbs.  She's quickly out growing her 3-6 mo clothes :(  She is just about the happiest baby ever!

Garden tea parties are perfect for bridal showers, baby showers and engagement parties.  Whether it's in a pretty backyard or a professional garden I always think of wicker chairs, paper doilies, vintage bone china tea cups and saucers for each place setting.  Of course you need lots of flowers, roses, peonies, ranunculus, succulents!  No tea is complete without lots of pretty sweets, petite fours, scones  and lots of different kinds of tea.
